I wanted to combine my art with messages of strength, positivity and love.
Hi there! I’m Annette, a self-taught Canadian artist based in Grimsby, Ontario. Creating is my passion, and I’ve been finding different ways to express myself creatively for as long as I can remember.
Before I started my business, I was just creating art for myself. Then, one day, others started to take notice and requested my pieces. Before long, my work was adorning the walls of homes and businesses in the Niagara Region – brightening rooms and inspiring others.
MY INFLUENCES
I’m influenced by the shapes, curves, and colours of the natural world and the human form, experienced in everyday life and in my travels. I enjoy simple colour palettes, and I create with pen and ink, acrylic paints, and digital mediums (but not usually at the same time!).
I’m passionate about what I create and I’m motivated by the stories I hear from customers about where they put the art in their homes or who they gave the inspirational cards or the art to as gifts to inspire others.
I set out to create inspiring artwork for those who need support, encouragement, or motivation, or who just appreciate art.
MY COLLECTIONS
I released my first product line, the Inspiration Collection, a couple years ago, and the response was nothing but love as customers shared with me their stories of giving these pieces as gifts to their partners, friends or children who really needed to hear a particular message, or bought them for themselves because they loved the theme, the design, or the inspiring message (or all of it together!).
Since that first collection, I’ve released a few more, and expanded into putting my unique designs on merchandise such as clothing, accessories, and home decor. I love seeing people wearing my art or putting it in their homes. That’s what motivates me to keep going! Plus, I just can’t stop creating!!!!!

I’m currently showing my work at the Art & You Arts Centre in downtown Grimsby. You can see new work there every month, and meet the artists at an Artist Reception on the first Thursday of every month.
